Past Shows
2/19/10 - at The 201 with Sun Lee Sunbeam and Big Hurry. The 201 seems to be our new home away from home… and on this night, it was good to be home. Both Sun Lee Sunbeam and Big Hurry were great (both as bands and as people), and the audience was fantastic. We did our best to rock the heck out, and had a great time doing so. This one felt good all ’round.
10/10/09 - at The 201 with That’ll Learn Ya, Minky Starshine and Makeup Breakup. Another odd one - Minky and That’ll Learn Ya are solid power-pop, and Makeup Breakup is synth-guitar-driven-freakout-dancepunk. We had some near-fatal (well, fatal for the show, not for, like, our lives) equipment problems, but Makeup Breakup graciously agreed to switch spots on the bill so we could hash out our issues. We finally went on close to 1 a.m., beaten, bloody but unbowed. The night could have been a horrorshow, but the fact that everyone on the bill was so cool saved it for us.
9/10/09 - Schwadesign Gallery Show at Machines With Magnets. With Area C and Death Vessel. An odd night - we’ve never played in a gallery space before, and it’s a little disconcerting when you’re used to clubs. People don’t really know how to rock out in galleries. That said, the folks were nice, and people insisted that we sounded good, so we’ll go with that. Plus MWM does great work, and we hope that they stay strong for a long time to come.
7/11/09 - Sound Session ‘09. With Carminda Rocha, Ben Pilgrim, and Suicide Bill, at The 201. What a crazy night. Words cannot describe how surreal it is to play the first week a club starts booking, in the middle of the swirling Carnival-esque vortex that is Sound Session. Hopefully we can play it again!
6/27/09 - 75orLess showcase at The Blackstone, at 1005 Main St, Pawtucket, RI. With Six Star General, Coma Coma and Chris Evil & the Taints. Talk about a solid bill! We weren’t sure how this one would go down, being the only electronic band on the bill, but we had a great time. All of the bands were tight, and great people. The turnout was fantastic, and everyone had an excellent time.
4/6/09 - At AS220 in Providence with Many Birthdays (dance-punks from from Austin, TX), The Brother Kite (awesome Providence shoegaze) and 3D Mystery at AS220 is at 115 Empire Street, in Providence. You know, we were a little nervous about this one, being our first show and all, but it went fantastically well. Everyone on the bill was really cool, the bands were all great, and we only had slight technical problems. We did have to cut our set a bit short, which was sad, but there was a better turnout than expected on a Monday night, and a surprising number of people stuck around to the very end. What more can you ask for?
